Dunmore Primary School

This is the homepage of Dunmore Primary School, a very successful and popular school in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. We have over 420 pupils in our school, aged 4 -11. In addition, around 40 children attend our nursery throughout the year. From September 2017, we are excited to be offering provision for 2 year olds. We pride ourselves in offering our pupils a first class, all round education. We have high but realistic expectations of each child, recognising each individual’s strengths and weaknesses. We value parents, children and staff working together in order for each child to reach their potential. You will find a warm and welcoming environment in our school, built on excellent relationships between adults and children.

Please enjoy looking around our website. If you would like to visit us, please get in touch – we hope to see you soon!

Just to confirm, school will be open as usual tomorrow.
School Closure 01 Mar, 2018
Due to the current weather conditions school will be closed tomorrow, Friday 2 March. We expect to re-open on Monday 5 March but please check the website and your Parentmail messages to confirm.
Bad Weather 01 Mar, 2018
Due to the changing weather conditions, we will make a decision early tomorrow morning about whether to remain open or close the school. If the school is forced to close because of bad weather,  we will make the decision as early as possible (usually by 7.45am). We will put information on our website as soon as we can. We will also send a Parentmail if we are closed. PLEASE don’t ring the school to ask if we are open – this tends to clog up the phone lines at a time when we need to use them.  Assume the school is open unless you hear about closure on the radio, receive an email and/or read it on our website.
